This blog post is different from the rest. I wanted to take a minute to write a prayer for all the women out there who are in the process of becoming moms. Whether you are waiting for a positive test or just received a positive test and want it to go smoothly, let's come together for all the moms and babies out there and say a prayer for healthy pregnancy and baby.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for all the women who want to become moms. This is such a gift from you as your word tells us to "be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the earth" (Genesis 1:28). Thank you for those yearning to fulfill this gift. Please give their bodies the ability to get pregnant and to carry their pregnancy full-term, and for their babies to be born healthy and safe in their arms. Please bless each mom and future mom reading this prayer right now. Wrap them in your arms, hear their desires, and bless their families for generations to come. Lord, please bless them, keep them, make your face shine upon them, and be gracious to them (lyrics from The Blessing). Thank you for the gift of children. What a precious gift they are. The very best things in life are not always easy, but we pray together and we ask you to bless those who want children in their lives. Please bless them with healthy pregnancies, easy births, and healthy babies. Philippians 1:6 says "I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion". Thank you for reminding us of this promise, Lord. Amen
